Hey there!
I’m Daria, an illustrator and creative producer based out of Carmel, IN.
I began my art journey with a strong foundation in traditional fine arts, and have dabbled in just about every medium- although my favorites are graphite pencil, gouache, and collage. I started volunteering at a local art studio from a young age, progressing to becoming a full time instructor many years later.
Eventually I transitioned to digital art as my primary medium, and my passion for video games led me to pursue a degree in Game Art at Columbia College Chicago. Shortly after graduation I was hired by the video games publisher Activision, where I worked on the Call of Duty production team for three years.
Now, I have shifted my focus to running my small art business, LiminaLost, which I established in 2021. This is an avenue for me to sell my designs on a variety of merchandise, including prints, stickers, charms, and more. I conduct sales through an online storefront, as well as in-person events such as local makers’ markets and comic conventions. In addition to running my business, I also currently work as an Intake & Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
One of my favorite themes to explore in my work is the intersections of queerness and the natural world. My greatest inspiration comes from immersing myself in the outdoors and studying the wildlife around me. Alongside my original art, I love to create fan works for pieces of media I’m passionate about!
When I’m not working, you can find me horseback riding, taking long walks in nature, or hanging out with my three cats- Ollie, Willow, and Freya.
